We had delectable meals at amazing locations with views that I will always remember. The Bald Eagle that we saw on our boat ride Went for a morning bike ride and stopped by the bay just in time to enjoy the dolphins having their morning swim. The huge king bed, the soaker tub, office area, couch, and even walk out porch were all just the icing on the cake. I was looking forward to going back to my room because they are spectacular. After a great dinner, we headed back to the rooms. I got up there at just about sunset, and I reveled in the beauty. Because there are no mountains, you could see for miles and miles in all directions. I climbed to the top of the tree house and was blown away by the view. It is a magical place with a tree house, hammocks, and a place for an Oyster Roast and Pig Pull. Our first night there we met at the docks and went on a boat ride to the Moreland’s for dinner. The Montage Palmetto Bluff is located on 20,000 acres between Savannah and Hilton Head Island in Georgia. If you feel the need to adventure, there are a lot of fun and neat things a short drive away. You will never be short of something to do. There is so much to do there like boating, zip lining, bike riding, dining, scenic drives and more. It is set right next to the May River with lakes, bridges, trees and spectacular vegetation. As we pulled up to the resort, I was in awe of the design and beauty. The view from my window was stunning and it was nice to sit back in a beautiful Mazda and take in everything. We were shuttled from the airport in Savannah, Georgia to the Montage Palmetto Bluff Resort in Bluffton, South Carolina (a short 23-mile drive). From the minute I landed I knew it was going to be an epic adventure (although I could have done without the humidity, lol). I had never been out that way, and I couldn’t wait to experience everything I could. Recently, I had the amazing opportunity to visit Bluffton, South Carolina for the Mazda Active Lifestyles event. All proceeds will go to benefit Pledge the Pink Foundation.I was able to participate in this experience thanks to Mazda. With several onsite restaurants (including Octagon, River House and Buffalo’s), three pools, an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, tennis center with eight tennis courts, two bocce courts, six pickleball courts, one basketball court and and Spa Montage, there are lots of attractions to keep you busy.Īnd that’s without all of the recreational activities on the scenic May River: stand-up paddle boarding, canoeing, fishing and dolphin tours. That makes the hotel the perfect spot for a weekend getaway, whether romantic, corporate or with little ones (their Paintbox children’s program entertains guests ages 5 to 12 with a mix of games, crafts, movies and activities–my kids loved the secret agent scavenger hunt). The 20,000-acre property is just a 40-minute ride from the Savannah/Hilton Head Airport. The cottages, guest rooms, suites and village homes on the property have either a view of the river or the lagoon, both surrounded by century-old oak trees.
